Information about Advance Technology Group Inc
Advance Technology Group has created the Inmate Telephone System (ITS) to provide a secure and adjustable platform for inmate communication to the Department of Corrections (DOC). Using the latest technology, the system supports prepaid and debit calls in a flexible and consistent manner, allowing the DOC to increase revenue while controlling costs. In order to support the collection and management of funds, ITS supports lockbox operations and links to inmate trust funds.
Though possible to be controlled at institution level, system parameters and controls are centralized, allowing for significantly reduced operational costs. Reports are provided both centrally and for each institute. ITS runs on open industry standard hardware including Windows 2000 servers and Intel communications platform.
The DOC can manage ITS features such as service provider or carrier. ITS’s unique approach, separating communication services from hardware, was created to provide more efficient and profitable operations to the DOC.
Inmate Telephone System Features
Prepaid Collect Call and Debit Call Support
Several DOCs require a debit calling system like ITS available from their inmate phone system. This allows the called party to fund a prepaid collect account with ITS for the inmate’s use. Called parties have the additional option of designating the funds to call that party only.
Centralized Controls and Reports
ITS can support both large and small correctional institutions, and can be programmed to operate either individually or through centralized parameters that can be overridden by single institutions when necessary. Users can configure office reports to summarize key information and data which can then be exported or linked to external financial systems.
