V Connect Advance Pay Service

V Connect is an inmate telephone service by Value Added Communications, Inc with service to various correctional institutions around the country.

Information on V Connect Advance Pay Service

Some phone numbers have restrictions on receiving collect calls from inmates in correctional institutions. V Connect offers solutions that can help clients in the following situations:

  • When the a local telephone company blocks collect calls
  • If Value Added Communications (VAC) don’t have a valid billing contract with the telephone company
  • If the contract with VAC has been suspended because the monthly billing limit has been reached

The V Connect Advance Pay account allows otherwise blocked collect calls to be received. The cost of the call, plus any applicable taxes, is deducted from the prepaid account balance after each collect call has been accepted.

Payments can be made by credit card, debit card, cashier’s check and money order and through Moneygram. A transaction/convenience fee is applicable for each mode of payment, plus an additional, separate charge for using Moneygram.

V Connect call costs and rates depend on the location of the phone number being dialled in relation to the correctional facility. If an inmate is transferred to another institution where V Connect is available, his funds will be transferred as well. In the event that the next institution does not have V Connect, the remaining balance will be refunded.

If the balance remains stagnant for more than 180 days, an inactivity fee of $4.95 will be charged every month until the funds have been depleted or until calling resumes.
